I have tried getting it waxed, and the (young) beautician just does what she calls a lip and chin, but tbh I need it over most of my chin, and all down my throat to get the odd ones. I have been using cream, which is good for the soft ones, but still end up pulling the stiff ones out (TMI). Anyone tried threading?

I have to admit that I don't know. I used to have very fine hair on my face and body(I am having full body done) and they have not come back since I started the treatment, but they were very fine dark hair, not white.

I would ring up and ask if you have a clinic locally with similar machines, Most clinics would do a test patch first for free, so maybe take advantage of that.

Someone on the Chat thread has said it doesn't do white ones, which is about half of them!

Hi ladies
It would be me plucking myself about 2-3 yrs ago...I swear no more, Ive had laser treatment and it jus made soooo much difference. what im goign to say now you may think never but actually ditch the tweezers as with every hair pulled a new stronger or even two are going to grow ( thats what my beautician told me) Also waxing is no good as again it affects the follicles and hair will grow stronger. The laser treatments were expensive and I got pregnant so now after I had my baby i bought a Philips Lumea 2 and I use it regularly...I dont pluck any more I shave IF i have to, but no more than once a week and only because Im obsessed and want to feel smooth ( as we all do!)...
I still have PCOS always will but with diet, exercising ( Im only saying that both factors made enormous difference to my skin/ facial hair) and shaving you wouldnt think ive got problems with excess hair...

I suffer too and have for 25 years, so under medical advice, i'm having my ovaries out!

Drastic i know! but then i always was a drama queen!

Gosh, its not just me then. Thanks for sharing, WW. Didn't get any redness, unlike with waxing, when if I have my eyebrows done, they are red for ages. I took 2 Ibuprofen before hand. Pain not too bad. Upper lip was worst, but I think if I go ev 4 weeks this will hurt less, as not all hair will be through at the same time. No point me having lazer treatment as most of my hairs are white.
