How can I get hold of nice, cheap, good quality clothes?

I currently live in one pair of jeans and a couple of skirts. We are skint with moving, I badly need new clothes, not least because I have just touched thigh through my one pair of jeans on my inner leg. What can I do with a budget of minus figures? Shock Smile

Another good thing to do is to look through sites like Hot UK Deals and Voucher Codes to get money off codes and then check out the shops the codes are for.

The amount of stuff I've ended up getting free or just for postage costs is ridiculous.
La Redoute have done a good job dressing my family for next to nothing!

Charity shops, love em....
Ebay?
Sometimes car boots but you do have to wade through tons of shite in usually grotty weather to boot!

I have seen quite a few people here who grab bargains from la redoute. Will have a nosey there too! Thanks! Grin

Big vote for La Redoute here (especially if you search for money off codes). I got a dress (silk) and a nightie for me, two pairs of trousers for ds, a pair of trousers for dd and 6 tshirts for them for under £50 a few weeks ago, and ds and dd are 11 and 8 so not baby clothes prices. Summer stuff, so thinnish cotton mostly but well cut, well finished etc.

Yes, La redoute is great, especially when you have a £10 off code!
I got some nice stretchy tops from H&M for £7.99 each, the other week. The quality was good too & I am a bit of a clothes snob!

Flossam, what size are you? Would you like some hand me downs, or are you not that desperate?

blueteddy · 28/03/2006 21:53

ASOS often have some nice bits & there is always a sale section. My sister has got quite a few nice bits from there.

FandZ, sorry I didn't see your message sooner. You are very kind!! I am kind of going up and down at the moment. I seem to vary anywhere between a 12 and 16, usually a 14 though. If you were the same size let me know what you are thinking of getting rid of and I would gladly pay you something towards them!! Thanks for the offer anyway, really sweet of you.Smile

Flossam, I will have a look at the weekend, I may have something tucked away as I am a bit of a hoarder Blush

Flossam · 29/03/2006 20:24

aww, you are very kind. Only if you are having a sort through. I don't know how much I will be around as moving house and broadband so not sure when I will be back. Just so you don't think I am ignoring you. Smile
