What does one wear to a fashion show?

Not quite as glamourous as it sounds sorry - it s a fundraiser for our local club. However there will be lots of very stylish people there. What does one wear - I can't decide ! Is it cocktail wear / jeans/ skirt eeek

It s in a 4 * Hotel if that s any help

If it's just a fashion show for charity and not a dinner thing then would go for a lunch with friends at smart wine bar look ( if that makes sense) skinnies, heels or ankle boots, leather or smart jacket, scarf or unusual jewellery.

I went to something similar a few years ago. Dithered over what to wear for ages. Went for a skinny sleevless top tucked into high-waisted wide-legged black trousers and platform wedges. Think there may have been either a scarf or a statement pendant.
A friend told me that she loved my outfit, and I did like it myself - but to be honest the crowd wasn't very fashionable at all, I didn't feel like I fit in
