Large sizes on the high street

Where have they all gone - there wasn't much choice before but locally all thats left is evans. New look/inspire has gone, Etam has gone - yes the answer is to loose weight and I am but until then I NEED new clothes!!

I've managed to go from a 30/32 when pregnant and I can wear a 22/24 top (mostly) and 24/26 trousers.

I can not wait to be able to have a wider choice of shops-its the only thing that is stopping me going to tesco's and getting a carrier bag of crap to eat!!

What is the biggest sizes that the rest of high street do - just so I know when I can start to venture that way? I expect its a long way off but I can dream...

Dorothy perkins goes to 22 as well - I bought a new look inspire top the other day - or is it just your local store that has gone?

Ledodgy · 27/03/2006 13:39

Top shop and miss selfridge upto a size 16
Next go upto a size 18 in store but a size 20 or 22 i think online.

schneebly · 27/03/2006 13:40

sorry - didnt read sizes properly. what about buying online? ebay?

WigWamBam · 27/03/2006 13:43

M&S have a range that go up to size 28, but they're not in all stores. H&M do a range called BiB (Big is Beautiful) that goes up to size 32, but again not in all stores. Tesco have some larger sizes in their Florence and Fred range, they go to a size 26. Ann Harvey go to size 28 but they run up small, and the styles are a bit old-fashioned.

When you lose some more, Monsoon go to size 22, and at the other end of the scale, so does Primark.

must be sunny Plymouth New Look that doesn't want big girls to go out to play!! Thats the thing, I can get "nice"/ sensible clothes but I liked newlook for the cheesey t-shirts with niffy or superman logo on for going indie-clubbing...maybe its time to grow up.

I can't wait to be able to get something from Monsoon, its all so pretty. I satisfy myself with accessorize sparkleys but its no fun when the only things in shop that fit are makeup and jewellery!

Thanks for your help, at least I know where to head when the time comes..

oh god, niffy should be MIFFY, as in the rabbit, not as in BO!!!
