At last! No more stretch marky belly peeking out from bottom of too-short t shirts!

Good ones in primark for £2.50

I saw those today (on my look out for shirtdress things).

I don't really get what you'd wear them with - they are too long for t shirts and too short to wear on their own.

SleepySuzy · 27/03/2006 12:14

But will I look a donkey in them if I am over 30, and normally wear jeans, t-shirt and trainers - how do you wear them? (not very fashion conscious am I?)

moondog · 27/03/2006 12:14

Hmm,are you sure?
Nowt worse than t shirt fabric to emphasise wobbly bits.

spacedonkey · 27/03/2006 12:14

I'm wearing mine today with jeans - I think the idea is to ruck them up a bit rather than have them pulled down (hence showing every lump and bump)

They had some nice shirtwaisters in primark too I noticed

Nothing wrong with looking a donkey Grin

winnie · 27/03/2006 12:16

what's a shirt waister?

SleepySuzy · 27/03/2006 12:16

Oops, sorry spacedonkey!!! Grin

I think a colleague said something about wearing them with a belt.

spacedonkey · 27/03/2006 12:16

shirt dress?

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 27/03/2006 12:17

lol

lots of nice stuff in the shops at the mo - lots of teal and blue colours which I love

spacedonkey · 27/03/2006 12:18

Point I'm making about the long T shirts is that I'm relatively tall and long in the body, so "normal" t shirts tend to be a bit short, and even worse, the trend of belly showage in recent years mean t shirts are deliberately short. Not good when you have stretchmarky belly (as I have).

oh... thankyou for explaining Blush I feel enlightened :)

t-shirts that reveal the belly flatter about 0.001% of the population in my opinion regardless of age, size etc

welshmum · 27/03/2006 12:23

Top shop has nice spotty ones, good if you're pg too

cece · 27/03/2006 12:25

long tops making a come back? YIPPEE. My old ones form past years are looking very thrreadbare. Hate, Hate, Hate short ones and have felt like I have been living in purgatory the past few years. They have been impossibole to get unless you want to look like your mother!

The one I got in primark is quite tight and clingy which kinda holds my belly in a bit Blush

I got the navy with pink spots one in Top Shop and bought god-daughter (30 years younger!!!!) the same in green and white.

dinosaure · 27/03/2006 12:30

Ooh sounds right up my street, spacedonkey. My belly never recovered from that third prepgnancy...

lou33 · 27/03/2006 12:31

i got one at the same time as donkey, they are great

i will also be able to use it as a mini dress in the summer

atm i am wearing it over skinny jeans with either high heeled boots (not with jeans tucked in) or a pair of fake converse trainers

spacedonkey · 27/03/2006 12:32

primark have some very plain ones with cap sleeve (about which I have slight problem owing to bingo wingage) in lots of colours. They've also got 3/4 sleeve ones for £3. And various patterny ones, vest ones and slash neck/sleeve ones.

OP posts:
lou33 · 27/03/2006 12:36

which sleeve one did you get in the end? i wish i had got a 3/4 sleeve one as well now

spacedonkey · 27/03/2006 12:37

I got one of each

OP posts:
lou33 · 27/03/2006 12:38
