Skinny jeans that don't lose their shape

That is what I'm looking for. I have several pairs that are ok for about an hour then baggy in the thighs and knees and gaping at the waist.
I like my jeans v skinny so think jeggings might be the answer (I always wear tops that cover to top of thigh because of my considerable tum).
I am an apple, so skinny legs and no bum but thick understatement waist. They need to be a bit stretchy but stay skinny all day. Any ideas?

I'm thinking of buying a smaller size. God knows how I'd get them on first thing though Grin

musttidyupmusttidyup · 13/10/2012 21:07

Mmm. That was one of my thoughts too but don't think I'd be able to do them up....

These are brilliant I promise.

GobblersKnob · 13/10/2012 21:46

The Boden teen ones, Johnnie B, are fantastic.

HoopDePoop · 13/10/2012 23:24

New Look superskinny, £20. My HG jeans for this A/W, they look so perfect on. I have the mid blue denim but they come in lots of shades.

Buy in the size that you have to really suck your tummy in to squish into is the key with skinny jeans IMO.

bishboschone · 13/10/2012 23:27

Dorothy Perkins super skinny £25 jeans . Fab .. Very tight yet stretch y and comfy .. Stay the size you buy!!Smile

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 13/10/2012 23:27

M&S have some, can't link from phone but they are sold as jeggings, they have a button and zip fly and fit like skinnies not leggings.

missyb890 · 13/10/2012 23:28

Don't buy them too small, you'll end up with a muffin top Hmm!

UnrequitedSkink · 13/10/2012 23:40

TopShop Jamie - 3 wears without washing skanky cow and they're still shapely round the knees. They're high-waisted so hold in your tum. And they also stop at the ankle in a very flattering manner, so much so that I've abandoned autumnal boots and gone back to flats for the moment. I'm in love.

I often have the same problem with skinny jeans going baggy in the knees. My favourite ones that don't do this are from Dorothy Perkins. DP jeggings also good as they are fairly thick and much more substantialthan leggings. Also surprisingly primark super skinny soft ones for about a tenner are really good on me.

custardismyhamster · 14/10/2012 01:53

Marking place on this thread as need new jeans!

Cydonia · 14/10/2012 05:55

I have this problem too, I find a lot of 'skinny' jeans are only tight on my thighs then baggy round knees and lower legs. As well as looking awful it also makes it hard to tuck them into boots which is what I want as winter is approaching. I also want fairly high waisted (ie not hipster) as have post baby tum that needs holding in!

I got some of those M&S jeggings but they're nowhere near skinny enough, shame as they were comfy and high rise and the only ones I've found so far in the tan/camel colour I want. I have some old Primark ones that are great but I've gone off the colour a bit ( bright red ) and our nearest store is an hour and a half away :(

Might try New Look again and see if they've got any new colours, also the Topshop ones as they had great reviews online but colour had sold out.

gastrognome · 14/10/2012 06:39

New Look, definitely. Really hold their shape well. Very very good value IMO.

MaureenCognito · 14/10/2012 06:52

Topshop Leigh.

dexter73 · 14/10/2012 07:43

Uniqlo Ultra Stretch

MrsMeow · 14/10/2012 13:01

I'm an apple as well and the best skinnies I've found BY FAR (and I've spent millions on my search Angry) are Primark ones! I think the most I've paid for a pair is £11.

Ok so they're not super duper amazing quality thick denim or anything but they fit really well and keep their shape and also don't gape at the waist.

MaureenCognito · 14/10/2012 13:02

oh yes agree, I have mine on today and after 2 hours in car still have shape

musttidyupmusttidyup · 14/10/2012 13:02

Thanks for all the suggestions. I tried the M&S jeggings but as someone said up thread they are too baggy. Think ill try topshop and new look. Ta.

primark esp the black ones for some reason

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 14/10/2012 13:18

Levis curve ones, they fit my sizeable arse properly, and have lots of elastane so they are tight, but don't go baggy anywhere.

Clure · 14/10/2012 14:36

agree with the New Look super skinnies (I have them in black and they fit like leggings) Also have Primark which are great. Just invested in some very expensive French Connection dark indigo skinnies which looked lovely on, we will see how these wear!

UnnamedFemaleProtagonist · 14/10/2012 21:11

I won't get a muffin top, I have a flat stomach. I'm an hour glass and my waist is small in relation to my hips/arse so mine always gape on the waist. I am wearing size 12 jeans but with a girls 7-8 belt pulled in on the tightest hole Shock

sleepdodger · 14/10/2012 22:09

Topshop Leigh hold shape but lose colour

Brandnewbrighttomorrow · 14/10/2012 23:22

Another vote for levi's curve id. Try the slim leg - they have a higher waistband so no muffin top

Meggles76 · 15/10/2012 06:37

Yes. TopShop Leigh. I have a black pair and a wine pair. Hold their shape, waist height is flattering and they sit well at the ankle. DH is no fan of skinnys but always comments that I look nice in these.
