I just want one that stays on for a few hours and leaves my lips moisturised.

Price wise I am prepared to spend up to twenty pound as I need one so much I am prepared to fork out!

Nuxe reive de meil lip balm. Is £10 and lasts hours on your lips. Comes in a cute little glass jar and has a honey smell but nothing too much and texture slightly gritty but smoothes my lips so much.

CAn get cheaper from Internet

Carmex is great but looks too shiny

Nuxe reve de miel is great but is a bit too matte (but perfect under lippy)

This that I found in a pharmacy in southern France, is THE BEST. Better than all the rest It's a bargain too on that site - was 12Euro. And bear in mind this is southern france where it's hot, windy, and then cold in winter. It's the only lipbalm the Pharmacy stocked - it's that good.

I bought one, tried it, loved it, bought 4 more.

I use body shop vitamin E which is not petroleum based.

Another lansinoh fan here.

By Terry baume de rose. Magic in a pot.

slug · 12/10/2012 09:55

Waitrose Baby Bottom Butter. Best thing ever for lips and cheap.

HoopDePoop · 12/10/2012 10:10

Lanolips.

Surprised no-one's mentioned it so far! Smells of roses, £15 from Boots, has won loads of awards, has super pure lanolin in it.

Absy · 12/10/2012 11:22

Another one for the Nuxe Reve du Miel. MIL gave it to me nearly a year ago - use it all the time and still have a lot left. Also the 8 hour lipbalm is good.

Vaseline - crap, carmex - rubbish for me.

Pinot my love - the one you link to - is it solid or liquidy?

Absy · 12/10/2012 11:23

actually, carmex has lanolin in it is which is why I can't use it - very sensitive to it and it makes my lips flaky

skandi1 · 12/10/2012 12:15

Lansinoh is fantastic.

Carmex in the pot is ok. Vaseline and burts bees are ok but they only work a short time and are useless for really cracked lips.

Nip balm every time.

HoopDePoop · 12/10/2012 12:55

Absy I read recently that most lanolin sensitivity is caused by impurities in the lanolin, like sheep dip Confused

Littlepumpkinpie · 12/10/2012 13:16

Another carmex fan here :)

Pinot · 12/10/2012 13:37

Absy mon fleur, it's in a tube and is a really thick clear gel. So you squeeze a dab onto the shaped nozzle and slather onto your lips. I swear it's made my top lip plumper too.

I do love the smell of Nuxe RdM (grapefruit - yum) but it's just a bit too flat matte for everyday. Great at night though - and for the kids/blokes. Under red lippy it's the best (I stole that idea from Lisa Eldridge).

WeaselChutney · 12/10/2012 13:40

Burts Bees is the best lip balm I have ever used. I used to buy a new lip balm pretty much every week in search of the holy grail of lip balms.

Not anymore.

Burts Bees! This is the one

DonaAna · 12/10/2012 13:56

I swear by Badger Balm. The tins are cuter than the tubes.

daisydoodoo · 12/10/2012 14:30

carmex one in a pot, cherry flavour, or burts bees.

Mewsical · 12/10/2012 20:54

I didn't think much of Carmex. I still revery to the chapsticks I used to use constantly as a teenager.

Fave is Korres lip butter in Jasmine...which tastes like faint vanilla.

Poodlehorse · 13/10/2012 09:29

Carmex, original, in the pot. Cheap and the best by far.

Itsgottabebags · 14/10/2012 13:38

Well in a rush I bought this as my lips were really sore. I am not keen on the fragrance but apart from that it's great.
