I have an LBD that I love. It's vintage Laura Ashley via Ebay, black velvet, sleeveless, with a slightly full skirt that has a swishy swing to it. I got it taken in to fit me properly and it feels great on, a proper Event Dress. Because the dress is quite prim, I like wearing it with slightly slutty edgy shoes with a serious heel.

I also have a very cute little All Saints mini dress in kind of a coffee colour. Sleevless, knee-length, nipped waist, embellished detail in teal and navy, with a cut-out back. The dress makes me feel great but I have a real shoe/tight dilemma whenever I need to wear it. It feels wintry but sleeveless and tights together, I do not like.

Bought this dress recently and love it. But again I think it's actually better with bare legs. I'd love a smashing winter party dress with sleeves, so that I could easily wear tights!

Clings to, yet flatters (how is that possible?) all my curves. Nips me in at the waist, shows off the sweater hams in a sexy but not obvious fashion.

Slightly generous size wise. All Pearl's dresses are.

I bought this rather lovely Whistles dress a few days ago and have already worn it to a v. posh work party/auction/event thing we had last night, accessorised with these shoes. (My recent splurge at Whistles happened because I met their CEO a few weeks ago, and she gave me a book of discount vouchers, I think in a bid to escape from me - I'd had a bit of a fan girl moment and told her I loved her!

I have a lovely pair of black suede ankle boots it looks great with too, so roll on the Christmas party season!

(I have my eye on another Whistles dress too, vouchers expire at the end of this year and intend to take full advantage of them!!

So, somehow I posted someone else's link, instead of the one I meant to.. So, with no further ado, this is my new Whistles party dress - hope it was worth all the wait!

My 'party dress' is a Westwood black jersey. I really fancy a black lace mini with sleeves. Tried to get one lost year and couldn't find one the right length or with the right sleeves. Really hope to find one this year - to wear with shoeboots or platforms.
