Would I be a slattern for not dry cleaning this dress before wearing it again?

Not sure if this is the right place for this, as I guess it's technically a housekeeping issue, but here goes:

I wore a full length, ivory, beaded silk dress to a 'do' a week or so ago and fortunately managed not to spill anything down it

I will be wearing it again in a couple of weeks and am unsure whether or not to get it dry cleaned in the meantime.

It is mostly clean, but does have some mucky marks around the hem from going for a cigarette walking around outside. Also one small black mark where some nobber stood on the hem while we were milling around

The thing is, I am pretty sure if I did clean it before wearing again it would have achieved a similar level of dirt very quickly so I don't think anyone would really notice that it was a bit dirty.

I'm reluctant to dry clean it because the beading is very delicate and I don't want to damage/discolour it.

p.s. If anyone has any tips for cleaning just the marks off the hem, I would really appreciate them

Was the 'do' a wedding, and were you the bride ?

No, charidee ball, dahhhrling...but I think it is technically a wedding dress.

My wedding dress was a complete write-off - I received a humiliating list of all the separate stains from the cleaning company I sent it to (food on bodice/red wine on train etc)

I like to think of it as evidence of a good party

I would wear the dress if you're happy to. I try to minimise dry cleaning because of the chemicals that are used, so if it's clean enough, just wear it.

Have you tried baby wipes on the marks? They seem to take everything off everything for me
