Long Plain V Neck Navy Cardigan - cant be hard to find surely?

Hiya all mumsnetters

I am after a long (Down to bum) v neck cardigan...I want it to be as plain as possible (ie not gold buttons, or waterfall shape or cable knit) and for it to be a true navy blue.

Not bothered about whether its wool, cashmere etc

You would think that such a thing would be easy to find wouldnt you?...alas several trips into town and I have nearly given up !

I bought one from H&M last week, 100% cotton, lovely true navy, bargain at 9.99

Was it a long HanSolo?...sounds ideal

I got one in George Asda for £12.50 recently also in black and grey

had a quick look on the website and that looks closer to the mark....just cant tell how long it is. I want to wear it with dresses and leggings and skinny jeans so find the longer length a bit more flattering

AmethystMoon -Would it come down to below my bum (Am 5ft4 so not massively tall) and is it quite slim fitting?

I am beginning to realise how picky I am...maybe thats why I cant find one

Have you tried Zara? They tend to have quite simple cardis in neutral colours all the year round.

I second Zara. I got a navy cardi there last year just as you described.

I'm not usually a Next fan but Dsis has this and it's very nice.

I was just about to suggest the Next One.
I am wearing it as I type..in Tall size, so it is very long.

oohh thank you so much...i think I am going to order the Next one now, just debating whether to go with normal length or petite.

I had a look in Next but they didnt have any in the shop.

Our local Marks had nice long-ish navy ones in soft wool.Might be worth a look.

Sorry- it is over my bottom properly... but I am a very short space pirate, at just 5'0"

The asda one is lovely. I have all three colours. It's very similar to the Zara one with uttons up the sleeves. Part of the older girls school uniform i think.

myneaux yes definitely I am 5 foot 6 and it is past my bum! They have washed well too so far
