dermalogica facials - anyone had them? Advice please

Am thinking of treating myself.
Questions - are they any good?
I have an awful feeling you have to have more than one to see any difference? What would be the minimum number?
If I wanted to look particularly good for an event in 5 weeks time when should I start and how would I space them?
Thanks in advance for comments. I don't want to ask the beautician about the minimum number as I guess she has a vested interest in talking you into several sessions.

I love them. So relaxing and the creams and oils and masks smell gorgeous. I used to go once a month and noticed a difference after maybe 3. But what I like best about it is the relaxation, I come out feeling like I'm walking on air. Although the place I go for them is brilliant for anything really, like a wee oasis.

I had one and I loved it. Made such a difference to my skin I still use their products seven years later.

I have had them, but only as one-offs - very nice and my skin felt better afterwards.

Like Conflugenglugen, I treated myself to one on holiday about 9 years ago & have had them intermittently since as well as using the products. Haven't had them regularly enough to comment on a program of them but even one makes my skin feel much cleaner/healthier for a while afterwards.

I do Dermalogica Facials. You should notice a difference straight after a facial. However,in the days following you may experience a breakout as we bring everything to the surface and boost the circulation.I always advise people to have the facial a week before an event.I think you really get that glow then.

You only need to have a facial once every 4-6 weeks as long as you are using a good skincare regime in between.Hope that helps Smile

Thanks - I did wonder if it might cause breakout

Definitely worth it though. The hours facial includes Cleanse(under steam),Exfoliation,Removal of blackhead, massage(incl pressure points, face, neck and shoulders),mask(massage of either feet, scalp or arms whilst mask on),tone and then moisturise.
