here? With black tights and heels as in the pic.

And does any one know what the sizing is like on pied a terre?

Yes absolutely.

BunnyLebowski · 28/09/2012 18:07

It's a no from me.

I think the fact that it's jersey makes it look quite office-y. And it's a bit sack like.

Hopefully · 28/09/2012 18:14

Depends on the wedding IMO. If it's a v fancy venue/affair, probably not dressy enough, otherwise I'm sure it will be fine.

FauxFox · 28/09/2012 18:25

Hmm, not sure. I think I need to see it irl to decide. I need something for a wedding reception next Sat night and i'd really like a dress with sleeves that can also be used for evenings out at bars/restaurants or smartish days out through the winter...struggling to find something that does it for me...is this any better do we think? Any suggestions? I'm an hourglass size 12 with dark brown hair. I do not want black.

I still like the first link bu would say Definitely the second one for preference.

BunnyLebowski · 28/09/2012 18:29

That one is better but, again, a bit worky for me.

Not sure either shape would hugely flatter an hourglass shape.

Do you prefer print to plain? What colours are best?

runmumrun · 28/09/2012 18:32

honestly, dont like either, sorry. second is worse than first imo, but first is too day-time. What about This?

FauxFox · 28/09/2012 18:33

Prefer print or colour block (not all one colour) not black (because wedding) and most colours are good except acid tones and nude tones which wash me out - greens/blues/reds are all good Smile

And I definitely want a half or full sleeve.

Thanks for looking Thanks

Biba

Mary Portas

On the right lines or waaaay off?!

lydiamama · 28/09/2012 18:37

I like your second one best.

LittleFrieda · 28/09/2012 18:39

I think it's not smart enough for a wedding.

FauxFox · 28/09/2012 19:30

Sorry bunny I don't like those at all - too frumpy - i'm only 34 years young Grin

OP posts:
BunnyLebowski · 28/09/2012 19:44

Doh!

They are a tad....mature. Back to the drawing board Grin

FauxFox · 28/09/2012 20:11

this? pushing my budget a bit now Grin

OP posts:
Rachog · 28/09/2012 20:25

I really like the Mary Portas one and I am 26.

BunnyLebowski · 28/09/2012 20:34

This is lovely but similarly ££

I love this but aware not everyone shares my passion for all things 40's Grin

Great shape for an hourglass!

French Connection

Found a beauty in Whistles but it's sold out online. This is it?

eryan · 28/09/2012 21:13

Sorry, I don't think any of those are "evening" enough. What about this? Should be good on an hourglass shape.

This?

Not sure how the drawstring waist would work with your hourglass size 12, but it looks as though it could be dressed up with beautiful jewellery and shoes.

whiteandyelloworchid · 28/09/2012 21:19

imo thats too casusal for a wedding but depends on how you normally guess, and how close you are to the couple i suppose ie if your normlly in jeans 24/7 and v good friends of the coupke they will think youve made an effort iyswim

BunnyLebowski · 28/09/2012 21:21

I think the OP wants something smart and re-wearable rather than full on wedding guest eryan.

And with half or full sleeves.

And that boden frock is grannytastic.

FauxFox · 28/09/2012 22:14

Oh bunny that whistles cheetah dress is perfect! But so £ and sold out...I will continue investigations for that one thanks! The only other one that is a contender is the paisley mango...I will not be wearing anything by boden, next or mary portas before I am cold in the grave Grin
