I think I'd like to try wearing a dress - help please :)

It's not that i hate dresses but apart from my wedding frock and one 'for the garden only' summer dress I haven't worn a dress in many many years. I've finished making babies and recently exercised down a dress size to a 14 and I think I'd like to wear a dress to a girls lunch in a months time... I think I shall buy the 30 Day Shred to add to my exercise routine too! I have an ok bust (D cup) but a bit of a overhang tummy, however I hate Spanx with a passion as find them horribly uncomfy so dress will need to be discrete over tummy area!! I have ballet flats and black tall boots, need a new cardigan too.

Any suggestions / fab links would be eternally appreciated, it's my birthday soon so have earmarked cash for clothes and a good coat or two (school run and smart).

I'm 5'5 / 5'6 in height and have heavy thighs so slightly above knee is about all I could cope with!!

Not sure what your taste is but alot of could also be worn with tights/leggings if you preferred

Where would you be looking to wear them (just makes it easier to advise style!)

FCUK have some lovely dresses at the mo. I have this one in a different print/colour (I think) and if I'm correct it's actually a lovely length, just above the knee, and very flattering and comfortable. I might buy this version for work actually, when I get paid.

Have a look at www.oasis-stores.com/dresses/dept/fcp-category/list as well.

If it helps, I've started wearing dresses all the time and I love it. So much easier to wear and style. I can't see myself going back to trousers for a while - even my trusty jeans are at the back of my wardrobe.
