Apart from ebay.

Does anyone know if Asdas maternity suits are any good?

Really don't want to fork out too much as it will be worn for 3 weeks max.

TIA.

I don't know about suites, but try H&M for maternity. Also Mothercare are having a sale ATM inc. maternity stuff. HTH!

Mazzystar · 20/03/2006 15:03

what sort of suits?

MrsBadger · 20/03/2006 15:06

Does it have to be a suit?
Many other formal-workwear options out there, esp if it's warmer weather [hopes]. Decent trousers and a blouse or wrap top that fit well are IMO better than a cheap / uncomfortable suit.

Nbg · 20/03/2006 15:07

Has to be a suit.
Will be in Crown Court.

Actually

thinking about it I could get away without a jacket as I could use one of my non mat jackets but just not do it up.

Will need shirts though a trousers. A proper fitting jacket would be good though.

hmm, tricky.

do you have a clothes exchange or similar where you could get something, um, preloved? Seem to remember them being rife in Hampstead, Fulham and similar nice-middle-class areas...

Nbg · 20/03/2006 15:12

I've been checking out our local shops but they sell straight away.

dorothy perkins?

Nbg · 20/03/2006 15:16

Dp's and Mothercare good for trousers but not suits.

It's a real nightmare.

Would a skirt-cardigan combo do in Crown Court? Might get a bit more mileage and more choice..

Nbg · 20/03/2006 16:18

No has to be mega smart.
It's a murder trial so it will be all curly wigs and the business.
I'll be in the box with the accused too so always in view of judge and jury.

My favourite suit stop was Blooming Marvelous, especially if you normally wear petit sizes. They also tend to have a nice workshirt.
