So, what do you think of these ankle boots?

I was eyeing up a pair of Ash Jalouse or Nina ankle boots (ideally in grey actually) but they are £145. Arrgh! My bank account cannot cope. So I'm on the hunt for some cheaper alternatives. What do you think of these from Next?

I must admit I haven't bought anything from Next for months, but these look pretty good as a substitute. Marks out of ten please? Or can you find anything better in the same sort of price range if you loathe them!?

fixed it. Hmmm - they look OK but don't look like they are worth £60! I think the quality in Next shoes has gone downhill lately without the price following - but that's just my opinion.

I think shoes are often a false economy in the mid-range price as they seem to be not much better quality than cheap shoes at all, and nowhere near as good as expensive. So I tend to pay a lot, or, not a lot at all for shoes.

For a budget option you could consider not bad for the money at all

Like them - 9 out of 10. I have bought Top Shop Mightys which are similar-ish. Soooo comfy.

Jenner's are lovely too, although not leather.

Sorry I can't link on phone but Office have a pair of ash lookalikes in either black or tan that are £60 which are nicer IMO (they might be £65 can't quite remember - have a look on their website and you should see them)

Meh 3. I'm not keen on ankle boots in general though. They often look weird on. I guess it depend how you wear them though.

They're very similiar - though I'm sure I tried on a black pair which had a black heel rather than a wooden heel which were in the £60-65 range.

Oasis had a good selection in store aswell if you check on their website!

Office Nikita?

A bit Mum Boot meh. I think black ankle boots just are dull, tbh, unless they've got something else to recommend them. Schuh have some nice ones with studs, but I'm sticking with calf boots this year.
