I have really problems with ingrowing hairs on my bikini line and am yet to find a solution that actually helps in any way.

Does anyone have any suggestions please??

Exfoliate. It's the only way!

FlamingGalar · 19/09/2012 13:16

Thanks Elf - even that seems to make no real difference for me.

I'm at the point where I think the full lady garden may actually be more attractive than the hideous mess down there.

Laser treatment crossed my mind but I have very fair hair and it's bloody expensive!

You could try something called Tend Skin. For hair removal depilatory cream would be better than waxing or shaving if you are prone to ingrown hairs

Exfoliate with an antibump gel (the lycon one is lovely) and then treat with tendskin. Every day.

Phillips Lumea IPL - I had a nightmare with ingrown hairs on bikini line to the point where I would end up with huge boils (sorryTMI). Since using the Lumea I have not only got rid of my bikini line almost completely but not an in grown hair in sight. Changed my life.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I'll look them up and let you know how I get on!

I had IPL in a salon, it didnt get rid of all my bikini line, but definitely reduced it and I don't get in growing hairs like I used to.

I quite fancy trying one of the home IPL things.

Big handful of exfoliant about 4-7 days after waxing and run like your life depends on it.

ChicHappens · 21/09/2012 10:50

Why running?

Prid cream is superb, as is aspirin crushed and left to dry (lie on a towel).

(I read about Prid cream by a makeup artist who used to do the Victoria's Secret calendar shoot).

Ingrow Go works for me. It's basically diluted salicyclic acid so exfoliates and gets rid of the spots:-
