I have after some coercion agreed to meet up with some old university friends for a night out. I need to look fantastic. Have money to spend on an outfit which I can also then wear on holiday in Italy whilst staying with notoriously fashion conscious Italian friends.

I am 5 ft 5 size 10.. no idea what look to go for.. am medium trendy. help!!!!!

night out meaning...?
dinner/drinks/clubbing? down and dirty in the 'hood or sophisticatedly martini-sipping?
Italian holiday details needed ditto.

generally would suggest well-fitting trousers, spangly/silky/glam-type top, heels; but don't take my word for it.

night out here- meaning sophisticated meal and drinks.
Italian stuff meaning meals with friends who are soooo well dressed.

oo I love hobbs

puff · 19/03/2006 19:46

I like Hobbs too (not able to frequent so much due to cost!) - I like that outfit, skirt too loud, but overall style lovely.

I have a similar length/shape skirt which I wear very high knee length boots with or it would go with some peep toe high courts that I've had for ages, but seem to have come back in fashion.

Go to Reiss or Episode or Whistles if you have the cash to splash I always get asked where I bought things when I get stuff from any of these shops.

Coast os also good for making an impression - they have some lovely tops in at the moment and some lovely strapless dresses that are boned and make you look fab!!

puff · 19/03/2006 19:47

Yes, cod linked the coast site the other day - some gorgeous stuff on there.
