Suggestions for plimsols for children with wide feet

We have not been able to find a black plimsol wide enough for my 5 year old son (size 12). We bought a black trainer but his school will not allow it so can anyone suggest a plimsol that may fit or a very non clumpy alterantive??? Thanks very much.

Clarks might do or maybe m&s because they do Velcro and slip on styles.

I presume you've tried a g width in a size bigger in Clarks?

The man in the shoe shop said that the black school plimsoles are the bane of his life.
How are the velcro ones?

My boys have very wide feet with a high instep. off the scale wide! And i have never been able to buy them plimsoles!

You could try the size up but he may end up tripping over!

Anyway my boys got geox trainers as they fitted and i explained to the school that plimsoles dont fit! Not much they can.do about it.
