Still making my mind up on the vitalumiere by Chanel but really fancy some other lovely bits.

Already have Touches Eclat but could do with starting from scratch.

I love Laura Mercier foundations, blushers and bronzers.............and they are pretty pricey.

littlerach · 19/03/2006 13:19

What bits do you need?

Mascara?
Foundation?
Skin care?

Nbg · 19/03/2006 13:20

Forgot to add
Am staying away from Laura Mercier.
Bought her Secret Camo concealer and foundation last year, spent £70 and it was pants.

The vitalumiere is worth every penny imo.
Touche Eclat too although Body Shop do a cheaper version, oh, just read you've got that. I think 2000 calorie mascara is as good as any other I've used and it's cheap, Max Factor I think.

Nbg · 19/03/2006 13:21

Not skin care

Foundation, blusher?, Eyeshadow, possibly mascara and some sort of lippy.

OP posts:
cod · 19/03/2006 13:22

i dont rate mercier either

Nbg · 19/03/2006 13:22

WWW
Does it last though.
I tried it out in House of Fraser a few weeks ago, found out what colour and sort I needed but the jar looks tiny!

canadianmum · 19/03/2006 13:23

aveda is my favourite for lippy, great colours and smell nice too....:)

but I guess after my LM recommendation you will probably steer clear of my advice! Wink

Nbg · 19/03/2006 13:24

Ok Benetint, is that like a tinted moisturiser?

OP posts:
snafu · 19/03/2006 13:25

Nope, it's a little pot of stuff that looks like really watery red nail varnish. You dot it on your cheeks for a lovely healthy glow and you can use it as liptint as well. It's very natural-looking and subtle and it lasts forever.

cod · 19/03/2006 13:25

its crap imo

WideWebWitch · 19/03/2006 13:26

nbg, a bottle I bought in September lasted me until December or January iirc. And that was wearing it every day in the week, sometimes re doing my make up at lunch time and one day at the weekend.

littlerach · 19/03/2006 13:26

Its a benefits one, like a little bottle of red stain that you use on cheeks.

I like it, also love the high eam.
And dandelkion powder stuff.

Have yuo used that new mascara with the "differnt" brush that keeps on being advertised?
Am tempted to try it.

Nbg · 19/03/2006 13:26

I never knew aveda did make up!

WideWebWitch · 19/03/2006 13:27

I think Body Shop glow enhancer is good too, I always get told I look glowing when I use it. It's quite subtle, sounds similar to benetint (might be cheaper I'd guess).

snafu · 19/03/2006 13:27

Bog off, cod. It's perfect for us what wants to look fresh as ickle pretty daisies.
