No, I don't look like thingy from Abigail's Party.

I have the Bobbu Brown green gel eyeliner. I usually wear black but think it looks too harsh. I have got brown but it looks too, well, braaahn and navy blue wasn't exactly flattering with neutral eyeshadows etc.

Anyway, I have got this green. It is brilliant. Doesn't look green iyswim, but is a very flattering shade, say v dark brown with greeny undertones. And the best thing it makes my moribund green eyes really stand out.

Anyway I recommend it.

I'm always told to wear really dark purple with my green eyes...this sounds lovely. Will check it out

Yes purple is good as well, not a razzmatazz 80s purple but a muted plum (well, for me anyway). I have also got a dull violet liquid eyeliner from Tesco make up which is really good. This khaki ish green one from bobbi brown. Os better than purple tho imo.

Is it 'Hunter?'- that's a good colour. I have the Estee Lauder version of it.

StuckInTheFensAwayFromHome · 17/09/2012 08:47

I have a 'dirty'/bronzey/green eyeliner that I use with my green eyes and agree - they can work together!
My other good colours are a kind of brown - but it needs to more of a grey/charcoal brown than a chocolatey brown for it to work.
Agree that a dark violet can also work well...

It is called ivy. It looks vividly green in the pot but is very muted when on.

Totally agree chocolate brown colour are very unflattering - really doesn't flatter my skintone. Any browns need to be more grey than anything. Also anything with a pinky undertone (say pinky brown) looks utterly awful.

Strangely thouygh grey itself looks crap.

Sorry for double posts (blackberry being crap as per usual)

Urban decays pencil liner in Rockstar is a lovely dark purple-ish colour. V flattering.

Maybe the browns you've tried had too much red in them? I have blue/green eyes and have to be careful to choose cool-toned browns. My current fav is Estée Lauder double wear one in coffee. It's a real dark cool-toned brown.

I can't wear black during the day either. It looks too harsh. I like brown liner with a good black/brown mascara.

I must have a mooch at the Bobbi brown counter, those liners sound gorgeous

Oh will try as I am getting a bit bored with my purple eyeliner I have been wearing for 5 years now (which is actually a pencil). Thanks for the tip!
