I hesitate to use the words school run coat, but that's sort of what I'm after. I have a smarter belted coat, and I want something taht I can just throw on to run around during the day, really comfy but that I won't look like a dog's breakfast in. Opinions stylistas.......?

It screams Granny to me. It's a bit frumpy and the colour isn't particularly flattering

But this would be my choice casual I think it's by far the nicest. Quite modern and not overly fussy.

I don't believe in saving your nice things for 'best'. Wear your good stuff all the time - that's what I reckon.

I don't agree with MrsC, wax coats are definitely on their way out and that last link was über frumpy. Your coat is okay, not amazing.

Tell us more about your colouring, size etc.

Wax coats are never in fashion. They are just a functional staple.

Who wants such a thing, why not be functional and fashionable.

Because 'fashion' is not the same as having a style.

The wax one wouldn't be for me. I'm not the dog-walking type. The parka is really boring. Have seen a million similar things for a quarter the price.

Just had a second look at the wax one. It seems far more 'granny' to me! very poofy with per una esque buttons!. tiz funny how people can look at the same coat and feel so differently!

I just got this one, it's a good bit cheaper but fairly similar.
