My dh has just won two tickets to the Goodwood Revival for this Sunday and I have NOTHING to wear!! It's 40's 50's and 60's dress code and I have a very challenged wardrobe! Ideas please?? BTW, if it helps I'm 5'10 and a size 16 - thank you.

Do you have a tea dress, or a full skirt dress or mini skirt/ dress? Or look for a local vintage shop?

One of my best friends is there!! She is wearing a full skirt with petticoat and cardigan. Previous years she has worn prom dresses and tea dresses. She is about 5'4" and same size as you.

She loves it!

Thanks very much!

Yes, can you wave your hair like veronica lake? Do your make up 40s style too, red lipstick, natural eyes.

Sorry, I don't have any suggestions on what to wear but DH is working there and says it is fabulous!

I am hoping when he gets home tonight he will say he has wangled entrance for us. I may be back to steal the suggestions...

Hope you have a brilliant time.

Ooh have a lovely time, my DH is working there too, driving some bug-wig in a Rolls or summat - it's fabulous. The dress code is very wide - as long as you make some effort you'll feel fine. There's everything from minute attention to detail to pedal pushers, pumps and a hair band. Have a super time and keep your eyes open for all the character skits going on.
