Is this a good haircut or is it just the styling that makes it look good?

I've already got the fringe and dark wavy hair, am just wondering if the length would look a bit meh if not styled really well. I'm itching to go for the chop!

I think it is nice. If you already have the same basic shape but longer, worst that will happen is you'll need to grow it out, so not a major risk.

I think your instinct is right and the styling is key. Not just the hair, but her whole look. Even on her, in the odd photo I've found where she isn't wearing statement sunnies it looks a bit meh.

Only you know if you have the time and type of style to make it work!

True littlebluechair, I would have about five inches to grow back but it wouldn't be a huge change.

spicy are you talking about clothes style or the styling of her hair? I'm def not as cool as her, but not a million miles away in overall look.

Oh, spicy, just re read your post with my brain engaged and I understand now :) Will be looking for other pics of people with a similar cut to compare and check its not just the french cool she exudes that's making her hair look good!

I think you've worked out now that I meant both. Styling of the hair and her overall style, esp the glasses.

I have thick hair and have been coveting a Zooey Deschanel fringe, so have been giving these hair transferability issues a lot of thought!

You can't go wrong with a Zooey fringe Spicy - go for it!
