Black orbrown, black or brown, argh!

Hi, newbie here !
I think I NEED the Clarks Norley wood ankle boots www.clarks.co.uk/p/20351507 . I just have no idea what colour. Is brown ok with black jeans/leggings and is black ok with dark blue jeans??? Probably such a non issue but this decission drives me mad every year!

IMO they look nicer in the black - seems to eb an odd finish on the brown version. So, black.

I have the brown. They don't actually have a weird finish in rl! I got brown as I only had black boots so fancied a change.

Ah, riight. Now I know the apparent dodgy finish on the brown isn't there IRL - my vote goes to brown. Is nicer 'cause of not having the contrast between upper and sole.

Whats the sizing like on these boots? I find Clarks difficult to guess at for online ordering and go between a 5 and 5.5.

I found them a bit on the big size so order half a size down. I am usually an 8 but got a 7 1/2.

I vote brown. I've gone for brown this year after years of black and am not regretting it.

In RL the brown is quite grey- a dusty brown. I was disappointed when I saw them and they also look much chunkier in the flesh.

Firstly, I bought 5 in black (am 5.5) they were small.

Secondly, have you considered the norley cedar in black? I ended up with them after taking the wood back and trying them on in store. I just think I will wear them more as the ankle ones look harder to wear with stuff.
