Trouble finding Size 2 shoes for Toddler

dinksdoes · 11/09/2012 23:02

I am trying to find some wellies and some sturdy shoes for the wet weather for my little daughter. She is walking but is only size 2. Im not a fan of Clarks fussy shoes and would like to avoid spending more than £25 as she's going to grow.
Any ideas?

I cannot remember how much they cost, but DD had (still has) small and really narrow feet when she started walking outside at 17mo.
She had Startrite shoes from Russell & Bromley kids, John Lewis as well.

My little girl gets on really well with Kickers - they come in a 2, try amazon or Pares footwear are often good

first i found!

I had the same problem for dd! it is hard, clarks is one of the only places that do a size 2 in decent shoes. What I did after the first pair is go on ebay and buy cheaper ones once she had been measured though.
Wellies, the smallest I have found is a 3, which only just fit her now she is a 3.5 as they come up big, they are from next, good selection of designs though.
If you do find anywhere that does a 2 though please report back, I may need to know for my next one if i have another early walker!

an 18 is a 2 according to online chart
some reduced here

mrsmangelsneck · 11/09/2012 23:26

Gap size 3 is a 2 (us sizes). Shoe Zone have the odd thing, Kickers excellent & usually have sale stuff on their own website, otherwise we had livie & Luca or see Kai run, lovely shoes but ££. Converse come in tiny sizes, try eBay. Never did find little wellies so bought some bootie cover things instead till she could lift her feet in size 3!

Ooh Zara have some proper shoes in a 14 iirc and that is minuscule :)

2.5

pink This one doesn't seem to sell online, it's a shop we have here in edinburgh but the 2nd one on the top row starts in an 18, which is a 2. I'm sure if you emailed they would post

I liked Clarks cruisers and found them plenty robust enough for a toddler. They're lovely and soft and rubbery and cheaper than 'proper' Clarks shoes.

Face facts, ladies: if you have a child with small or otherwise wonky feet you'll be paying a fortune for shoes.

Dd1 has the tiniest, most delicate feet known to humanity. Aigle wellies come in small sizes and are cute and very robust. Clark's fit small feet better than start rite. H&M sometimes have nice canvas shoes as do next--order a size down though. I've found that French brands tend to be a great fit for school shoes, Asher, petasil etc.
