Can anyone find this dress?

I've seen 2 different women wearing it in the last few days so I'm hoping it's a current one and not too expensive as my mum has just lost a shed load of weight and I'd like to get it for her birthday. It's a knee length, with kind of orangey red tones, and a smallish flowery pattern that looks very Orla Kiely/Bodenish but I can't find anything on either website. Short sleeves, and an empire line with a small double ribbon type detail at the bust. I can't explain that well but it's almost like a small length of cord a few inches long under the bust. It's a really nice dress and it would suit her so well I just wish I'd asked the women where they'd bought it! As far as I could tell it wasn't jersey but more cottony? I've looked at at White Stuff too but couldn't see it.

Don't suppose it's this from Oasis?

fuckityfuckfuckfuck · 08/09/2012 20:16

Nope, neither of those. It's a far simpler shape, not so severely in at the waist, and much longer, probably calf length now I think about it. The little pattern on it is just so neat and ordered, possibly tulips? I could be way out though. I have been giving myself the horrors that it could end up being a per una horror but so far the M and S website is giving me nothing.

I know this will sound awful, but what age were the women you saw wearing it and how well off did they look? It might give an idea to which shops they might have been buying from.

Lk bennet and Hobbs ?

TheBlackCompany · 08/09/2012 20:27

Unlikely but maybe

fuckityfuckfuckfuck · 08/09/2012 20:29

Not at all, they were late 40s I suppose and not poor. It doesn't scream 'this dress cost hundreds!!!' but equally, it's not a Primark job. I've been trawling the internet but nothign so far. It could be somethign unexpected like h&M I suppose.

Uniqlo did Orla Keily dresses/tunics, but they have all sold out, just came out this week I think, not sure if they are the same as the ones you describe here though.

TheBlackCompany · 08/09/2012 20:54

I admit defeat. Have looked on Wallis, LK Bennett, Hobbs, Debenhams, John Lewis, M&S, M&Co, Next, Matalan, Zara and Gap. Hope you can find it.

TapselteerieO · 08/09/2012 21:18

Let us know where you have tried?

fuckityfuckfuckfuck · 08/09/2012 21:23

I've looked at everywhere that Black has! I've also tried Laura Ashley, East, Coast, Fat Face, Seasalt and nothing! Maybe it's not current then, perhaps I just noticed it as it was so striking iyswim?

Tried Mistral too, it's that kind of style. I am thinking it might be old season White Stuff tbh.
