Best comfy grey cotton shorts for Boys (school)

I have a Ds aged 4 who starts school next week. We have a selection of M and S stuff in grey, into which I am sewing labels. This includes a pair of Skinkind cargo shorts. Ds has eczema which has got worse over the summer. I am a bit concerned that he may have a bad reaction to non-cotton items and am thinking of getting in another pair or 2 of cotton shorts, as they could potentially be very handy if we have probs.

Asda apparently used to do cotton school wear but don't now, the Skinkind cargoes are sold out, any good tips?

I have had this problem with my oldest, and he is now in year 5. The only tip I can give is buy the cotton shorts and trousers when you see them for sale. I have bought all his trousers until he is 13 years old! Luckily he is not into football, so they last. I find with trousers, at least he can't get to his legs to itch, hope this helps, and keep searching
