What style and colour of coat?

I have bought some brown leather ankle boots, similar to the ASOS Aggie boots, in a dark tan. I wear skinny jeans all the time and usually have a loose top/blouse on top, typically something from Zara.

What style of winter coat would go with my style not that I have any ?

I looking at coats rather than jackets because I really suffer the cold badly. I love the biker jackets that are everywhere but once it gets cold I'd freeze in them. I was thinking of a pea coat, would that work? I don't think a parka style would go.

What about colour? Brown boots so maybe a grey coat rather than black?

I have an indigo pea coat from Paul Smith that I bought last year which goes with everything. If your budget will stretch to Paul Smith I can heartily recommend his outerwear - my previous winter coat lasted 4 winters and is still going strong (but I got bored of it!). The colours are really intense, teh fabric excellent quality and the attention to detail is beautiful - gorgeous linings and small touches which make them distinctive.

You are probably looking for something way more swanky, but I have just bought this and it is very very lovely on. Looks far more expensive and is 50% wool so should be warm. 1304 is an extra £5 off and 0142 is another 10% off on top and free postage.

They also have this but only in Navy.
