Leather leggings. Not black. Almost any budget considered!

I really really want a pair of leather leggings. I don't mind spending on them as I am determined that they will be a long-term investment (I have been lusting after a pair for about a decade now, so I am finally investing).

The thing is, I want them in my colours - I am HoC autumn, so brown, olive green, forest green or a dark teal colour would be best. I would consider a brighter brown or red, but not a dark blue-toned red or burgundy.

I have tried these Drome ones, and wasn't mad keen on the hidden zip (it seemed a bit flimsy), but the colour and fit were lovely. I have just ordered (with a discount code) and tried a pair of Joseph ones , but I am not sure about the colour - it is neither olive nor brown - or the fit.

But I am beginning to think that if I want them this year I am going to have to choose between either the Joseph or the Drome ones, as I simply can't find any that aren't either black or Burgundy!

Budget, up to about £600 Shock

DonaAna · 06/09/2012 13:14

Not leather or what you are after but have you considered these?

QueenMaeve · 06/09/2012 13:20

I adore the olive green Joseph ones, but out of my price range I'm afraid. They are fabulous

Hopefully · 06/09/2012 13:36

Hmm, I have just put the Joseph ones back on for one last check and now I am quite liking them (having tucked the hem up a little less than I did last time).

Fickle, or what?

Will check out links in a moment, thank you!

Meh. I still don't like the colour.

Queen the joseph ones are absolutely lovely, but definitely more trouser than legging, and a kind of not-quite-olive-not-quite-brown colour, which is irritating me.

crazy I think I am not brave enough for bright red (although they are rather cool).

faux the rick owens ones are beautiful, but the colour is just too, ummm, blah, for me. Love the angled leg panels though, perfect for me. I think I want a dark colour, whether it is brown, green or whatever.

dona I have been contemplating a pair of coated skinnies to get me through this winter if I can't find any leather, thanks for the link, they are bargainous!

Hopefully · 06/09/2012 14:19

Iwanna I did think of it, but I wouldn't have a clue where to start getting someone good!

What about these Muubaa ones?

MrsDelaBilliere · 06/09/2012 15:12

I've got the Joseph ones. Would really recommend them.

MarshaBrady · 06/09/2012 15:18

Ooh a Joseph recommendation. Have you RMA'd yet Hopefully? Wink

MrsDelaBilliere · 06/09/2012 15:23

Have I what Marsha????????

Mine are black though, got them from net-a-porter, just before I got pregnant.

MarshaBrady · 06/09/2012 15:24

Nono Hopefully, when you ask for the returns number from NaP.

I think your recommendation may swing Hopefully into keeping them. Or almost?

QueenBeebread · 06/09/2012 15:24

ACNE dark blue reptile? Too trouser-like?

MrsDelaBilliere · 06/09/2012 15:27

Keep them for sure, just make sure you wear the right shoes with them.

QueenBeebread · 06/09/2012 15:27

Indigo Faith Connection?

QueenBeebread · 06/09/2012 15:40

J Brand Espresso

QueenBeebread · 06/09/2012 15:42

Balenciaga in Forest Green

MrsDelaBilliere · 06/09/2012 15:42

I love the J Brand ones you have found Queen.

QueenBeebread · 06/09/2012 15:43

D&G comes in dark green and dark brown.

Sleepwhenidie · 06/09/2012 15:56

Just seen these_ on a MW email....too burgundy?

Hopefully · 06/09/2012 18:37

Those Balenciaga ones are beautiful queen, but have the dreaded concealed zip - concealed zips are, IME a bit flimsy, and since I'm intending these to be 5 year trousers, i'm not sure that the zip is appropriate.

Paige leggings are lovely (and cheap!) but too burgundy, tragically.
