ace up knee high boots - are they old fashioned?

You know those ones that lace up right to the top, popular a few years ago?

Not sure they go with much but have spotted a bargain on eBay. Not sure to go for it or not.

actually not from ebay (said that for convinience!), but from another forum I visit and they are on sale for £22. proper leather and all. temped but not sure if it looks a bit frumpy really.

oh thanks for correcting the link, I'm rubbish at doing that.

I do prefer plainer boots and I already have a pair of plain ones i.e riding boots in that colour. I was unsure cos lace ups can look a bit tarty sometimes. But it is flat heeled so maybe could work.
