Does anyone else need two wardrobes? ie one to accomodate the monthly bloat?

Just wondering if other people have this issue. A few days after I come on I'm a size 8 and around ovulation time I start to swell up.

Come the first day of my period my stomach gets so swollen I look like I'm 5 month pregnant sometimes. It goes after the third dayBlush

I hate the run up to my period, my boobs stomach and thighs swell up and all my fitted clothes get tight and I feel like I want to wear a sack. Basically I'm happy with the way I look for just under 2 weeks of every month. Btw, I've tried all of the suggested stuff and none of it has ever worked!

Yes, I'm the same. I don't have any helpful hints but it's not just you!

Me too! I find that exercising helps a bit but not much. It drives me mad.

I take agnus castus to improve my monthly hatred of the world PMT, and I may be imagining it, but I think it's improved my bloatiness in the run up to my period too. Took about a month to take effect.

Yes, but not strictly separate, just there are things I prefer to wear when I have PMT and feel bloated. I have normal jeans and "fat jeans", and certain dresses/tops that don't do anything for a pg-looking stomach so I avoid them. Around that time I also tend to change into pjs in the evening and blob on the sofa, watching TV or knitting etc. and avoid going out or seeing people because I just feel so bleh.

Avoiding wheat and drinking lots of water can help with the bloating, but I've found that avoiding wheat is a right PITA when you have to cook for a family and are very busy with work etc. I just gravitate towards pasta, sandwiches etc because they are quick and easy and everyone wants them. But when I do make an effort (which of course I don't feel like doing when I have PMT!) I try to eat yoghurt and fruit for breakfast, salads, omelettes etc for main meals and avoid bread.

I realised yesterday that I was wearing size 14 trousers and a size 10 top. The trousers were tight and the top was a bit too big. What's that all about then? Confused

I need two wardrobes and its nothing to do with the monthly bloat. Infact i have two double wardrobes, 1 set of drawers and 6/7 vacuum bags (containing past season clothes, ready to get out next summer) in my mothers wardrobe as they won't fit.

I am a shop-a-holic and pround Grin

I used to really suffer the bloat every month, anything up to a size bigger round my tummy. Gave up wheat and sugar and dont get it all now. Obviously I'm not 100% strict on that. It is boring but might work.

I cut out wheat a fewyears ago, as I noticed I became very tired and bloated whenever I ate it. Although that hasn't stopped me from chowing down on biscuits during those PMT eat the world moments!

BegoniaBigtoes, I can relate to the pjs thing. I feel sorry for DP sometimes, half the time I am jolly and make an effort to look nice. The rest of the time I am a grumpy slob.

My period is due next week and I am already 4 ponds heavier than I was a couple of weeks ago. I know it's mostly water weight.

Sorry if this is tmi, but I've noticed that a few days after I come on, I have a day when I do some of the biggest wees ever. After that I seem to return to my normal size. Blush

I get this too. Funnily enough I didn't notice it in my 20s/early 30s. Is it a getting older thing?

I meant pounds!
