Boots Essentials Curl Creme - out of stock? (panic... aaargh.... )

This Boots Curl Creme which comes in a pink tub (costs about £1.30) is out of stock in all the Boots I have gone to, and is also out of stock on its website! I have very curly hair and I have been using this styling creme for about 10 years - it is brilliant.

Does anyone know of a similar product I can use? I use it in conjunction with umberto gianni curling gel.

I have 3 pots so if you want one pm me and I will send you one.

frankie4 · 31/08/2012 19:49

Thanks so much for the offer, that is really kind of you. I have got a little bit left in my pot that I can use up, but if it is now discontinued I just wondered if anyone can recommend anything similar as i go through loads of it!!

Bollocks, have just run out.

Watching with interest.

And if frankie doesn't want your tub dexter, i could find it a good home Wink

jillybee · 31/08/2012 20:12

I hope its not discontinued, this is the best stuff I have ever found and such good value for money.

ilovegreenbeans · 31/08/2012 20:14

I like the Naked curling creme which is also at Boots. It's not that much more expensive and I actually think I like it better. Bit stickier and a bit more hold imo.

dexter73 · 31/08/2012 20:16

Pm me tethers and I will post you one.

frankie4 · 31/08/2012 21:09

I will try the naked one, thanks.

I'll die if it's discontinued.

Chuchygirl · 03/09/2012 15:12

Me too, I've kept popping into my two nearest stores for the past week, and the shelves were bare! I've emailed Boots to find out when it will be in stock or to confirm if it has been discontinued.

Lottapianos · 03/09/2012 15:14

Haven't been able to find it for weeks either. I have started using coconut oil - apply to soaking wet hair after shampooing/conditioning, mid-lengths to ends only, work through evenly then finish with Tresemme Naturals conditioner as a leave-in. Wrap hair in towel for 10 mins, arrange with minimum of touching and air dry. Marvellous Smile

ViviPru · 03/09/2012 15:22

Ooh Lotta thanks for that tip.

In fact, can everyone who has naturally wavy hair give us your top tips/products please?

Levantine · 03/09/2012 15:29

Coconut oil is v good - better than those argan oils ime

ViviPru · 03/09/2012 15:30

Where's the best place to get bargain coconut oil?

Lottapianos · 03/09/2012 15:32

About £1.30 in Superdrug ViviPru, find it near the hair conditioners

tharsheblows · 03/09/2012 15:36

I haven't used it but did switch from Aveda's Be Curly creme to just using conditioner (any thick conditioner) as a curl creme which works nearly as well for me.

ViviPru · 03/09/2012 15:38

Thanks :)

Lottapianos · 03/09/2012 15:40

Ditto tharsheblows - couldnt' understand all the fuss about Aveda at all. And was Shock at spending sixteen quid or whatever it was on one not very big tube of product

Pinot · 03/09/2012 16:21

I have some of that Curl Creme but was very nonplussed about it. How do you all use it, please? Maybe I'm missing something?

frankie4 · 16/09/2012 17:33

Just thought I would update you all, as I emailed Boots about the lack of curl creme! This was the reply...

"Thanks for contacting us about our Essentials Styling Curl Cream. I can understand your concerns that you've been unable to find this in your local store recently.

You'll be pleased to know that the product hasn't been discontinued, however it's been temporarily out of stock. I've spoken to our product team who've advised our stock should be back in store by the end of the month.

Thanks once again for contacting us. If we can help you further at all, please contact our Customer Care Team on 0845 070 80 90."

So hopefully my hair will be back to normal soon!
