DP wants a fluffy cardigan like DS

Bought 2 y.o. DS this cardigan to wear as an autumn coat. As one of the reviewers says, it's much nicer in rl. And very fluffy. Anyhows, DP went all Envy and claims to have been looking for one for years - he's not the world's best shopper ...

Anyone know where to look?

amazon?

Rachel130690 · 31/08/2012 12:52

Try eBay. I bought my Dp loads last year and they were good price :)

Bartusmaeus · 31/08/2012 12:53

No help but that is lovely. I would love to buy one for DS but when he was born last year lots of relatives went into knitting overdrive including cardigans for this year so can't justify another one.

Bet your DS looks really cute in it Smile

Aw, I was expecting a big angora job, disappointed.

Tvetenia · 31/08/2012 13:12

Thanks all, I shall point him in the direction of amazon and ebay; that amazon one looks good. I got a bit stuck as I didn't know what to search for.

Sorry to disappoint on the angora front, not sure my lob-it-all-in laundry method and a 2yo are the best combo for angora knits. I do have some very lovely angora gloves though. Grin

Good reminder Bartus, I'll have to put Acrylic Granny on knitting stand down!

Fat Face sometimes have things like that. Would also try other surfer dude brands, perhaps Roxy/Quicksilver.

This shop may have what he wants - some of the cardigans are hideous, btu some are very nice (and some are expensive and some are in the sale).

You could also google 'sherpa cardigans' because they tend to be fluffy (and very warm).

Grin @ acrylic Granny

DS has a "hand-wash only wool" knitting Granny. She knitted 3 gorgeous cardigans for DS as a newborn but who the hell uses hand-wash only wool to give as a present for a newborn? Hmm

I did use them but not half as much as I would have liked and always combined with bibs as DS had reflux Sad

This is the same Granny who keeps giving us white clothes Hmm and hanging up in the wardrobe we have a gorgeous thick white hand-wash only cardigan for DS this winter...argh!!!

(I know I sound bitchy but seriously, she spends hours on things we can't use much. So frustrating)

Depending on the size of your dp he might fit a Johnnie B one.

Dp has one and it is gorgeous, he is six foot but pretty slender, he takes the size down from the biggest.
