The lip gloss is fab! I picked up the mag this morning and tried the lipgloss on when I stopped for a coffee, and it's still on now despite me drinking & eating lunch!

It is pretty sticky so not for windy days but it does stay put!

Slight hijack (but along the lines of gifts) ...

Have magazines gone all scrooge-like?
I stopped buying mags because I don't have time to sit and read them (used to get Good Housekeeping, Woman & Home and Essentials on subscription)

They used to have sachets of shampoo or face cream in the pages. You could tell if someone had poached them because the sticky strip would be there are the page said "if your gift is missing..."
I noticed some of the magas with free cover gifts (nail varnish, moisturiser) were ripped open

I bought Good Housekeeping, Red and Marie Claire to read on holiday.There was a voucher for a L'Occitane shower gel (available instore) but nothing else!

Definitely people are stealing gifts from the outside covers -Glamour, Company & Cosmo have all had good stuff recently but you have to go to the back of the pile.
Haven't noticed the inside packets though but now you mention it...

Incidentally has anyone noticed the lack of free bags etc? Elle had a Celia Birtwell/Topshop one a few yearsd ago that was v v good quality.

I still have 2 pairs of freebie Kurt Geiger flip flops I got with Elle magazine many many years ago....the first time I have ever bought a magazine twice purely for the freebie. Wish I had bought 4 copies so I could have had a pair in every colour. They are only just beginning to fall apart after, I guess, approaching 10 years of summer wearing. They are amazing and look so nice with tanned feet.
I look out every year in the hope Elle will do it again but really have given up hope!
