Have you had any wear from your summer wardrobe?

Have you actually worn any summer clothes this year with the exception of being abroad and that random boiling week we had in March?

For me no, I don't think I've worn any of my nice stuff. In fact I think the heating has only been off for a max of 8 weeks, and boots and coats away for not much longer. Such a disappointment.

no and even more annoyingly, it was a summer maternity wardrobe, so no chance I can wear it next year. Oh well, ebay next spring.

FunnysInLaJardin · 29/08/2012 13:18

yes, although I didn't swap my work boots for sandals until the end of July which is unheard of. I was quite glad actually as it has meant that I haven't had to buy anything new this year, which is a good thing due to being skint

I have managed to get some wear out of my summer stuff. Any bit of sun and I have had a summer dress on! I am in Oxfordshire and the weather hasn't been too bad. It is tipping down at the moment though Sad!

HoopDePoop · 29/08/2012 13:24

Yes loads! As a forriner, this happens every year. English people are weird, they never remember the weeks of blazing sunshine.

I am however in my A/W aubergine leopard skinnies today Grin

GracieGirl · 29/08/2012 13:24

I've worn shorts every day in August! Grin Possibly as I had my 2nd baby in April and I can't squeeze my belly into anything else in my wardrobe! Blush

Littlepumpkinpie · 29/08/2012 13:44

I have not worn my dresses but shorts ect have all been worn even had the paddling pool out this summer and It was lovely to sit in :)

higgle · 29/08/2012 13:44

No, 4 dresses totally unworn, including 2 x Fatface sun dresses that cost £46 each. Too cold and rainy here and I didn't wear them in France on holiday because it was too hot there and they all exposed my shoulders. Most worn items were 99p shorts and 99p T shirt bought on ebay.

MrsCampbellBlack · 29/08/2012 13:46

A bit but not masses - have worn white jeans the most.

AngryFeet · 29/08/2012 13:52

Yes although not as much as usual. I have started packing them away now.

Bonsoir · 29/08/2012 13:55

Yes, but layered up with cardigans/parka etc.

holler · 29/08/2012 14:05

No. But then, I didn't really buy anything as it never got nice enough!

MarshaBrady · 29/08/2012 14:09

Yes but only on those very hot days. Paul&joe shorts mostly.

choceyes · 29/08/2012 14:19

I have worn a fair amount. Was on holiday in Berlin, although rained at times it was warm. Spend some time jn London too and it was warm so my shorts got a lot of wear.

Have you a link to the aubergine leopard skinnies hoop they sound lovely!

Caerlaverock · 29/08/2012 14:21

Yes nw Scotland had a scorching summer and the past couple of weeks have been really warm

NotYouNaanBread · 29/08/2012 14:29

Lol.

Wait. There was that week back in the spring before I had bought any summer clothes yet - does that count?

I was in Crete for a bit in the summer though, so I can't be a complete moan about it.

wordfactory · 29/08/2012 17:19

Yes, but at times decidedly optimistic.
Today I wore thre quarter trousers and it was torrential.

Meggles76 · 29/08/2012 17:28

Have worn black strapless maxi and navy stripe jersey maxi quite a bit. jade skinnys have also been worn. Apart from that, not a lot :(

PuppyMonkey · 29/08/2012 17:34

Yes, quite a lot. It has been hot a few times here (notts) not just that time in March. Not as much as usual, but it's not been so bad you need to put the heating on. Hmm
