Where can I find knee length boots for my chunky calves?

Following on from another thread, I really want a pair of black knee length boots but struggle to do them up over my chunky calves. Can anyone recommend a high street store as I'm always wary of ordering shoes online as I need to try them on before buying really.

Next and marks do wide leg boots. Also Clark's and Evans.

I make sure I don't pick ones with a zip. That tends to work.

Duo, Duo, duo - do all calf sizes ... even for horrible skinny calves like mine!

Duo. I have only one pair that I bought 6 years ago from them and they still make the same style. I don't wear them as often as I should because they feel quite dressy to me for the school run but I'm going to make an effort with them this year because they are so nice and warm with dresses and wide leg trousers. They are the only places have found boots that fit my chunky legs properly and were so worth the money really.

Agree with the Duo recommendation - only knee lengths that fit my chunky calves. I find they are best for classic styles - I have a chocolate brown and a black pair and going strong.
If I want something a bit more trendy then I go for ankle/shoe options

I have the same problem, have bought from Duo before and whilst they have a great choice of styles I'm not that bowled over but the quality.
I bought these from Clarks last year, they did them in a wide fit, and they are brilliant. I'm sure they'll bring them out in the wide fit again this year.
