Just bought a gorgeous Bernie Dexter dress... What do I wear with it?

Its gorgeous but so so unlike me. Not 100% sure I'm cool enough for it actually Hmm but love it nonetheless! Tis this one here, what do you all think? And what can I wear with it shoes wise? I don't do heels, at all. Would it look silly with flats of some kind?

You could wear it with some ballet flat-type shoes, but I see more of a simple canvas lace up shoe going with it, if you want flats. Or what about something like this www.modcloth.com/shop/shoes-flats/delightful-dress-up-flat pinky saddle shoe. I don't know how 'costume-y' you want to go.

Gorgeous dress, I love Bernie Dexter but can't get my boobs in and breathe at the same time

In fact the white canvas shoes in the lindyhop video below the dress are the kind of thing I was imagining, you can get them from Amazon for about £7.

Nice dress. Not enamoured with the colours but love the print. And the neckline and shoulders.

But unless you're tall I'm thinking it'll run the risk of looking frumpy with flats??

Not even a teeny weeny heel? Not a kitten one. Promise. Vom.

MsFanackerPants · 29/08/2012 01:39

(And agree with Bunny, a heel would look better)

ImpossiblyGlossy · 29/08/2012 07:24

Oh my god.

doobiedoobiedoobie · 29/08/2012 08:29

That a good Oh My God glossy? Wink

I am tall, 5ft 10, hence why I don't wear heels, but maybe should get an eensy kitten heel. Don't think I could wear lace up canvasy things with it, may feel a but Lily Allen. Ballet flats, perhaps, if I can fid the right shade...
