School shoes with laces.....

.....where can I get some. Dd is 5 and over the summer learned to tie her laces. She is hard on shoes, well the Velcro strap ones anyway, for school in reception it was nearly two pairs a term. She pulls them tight and after a few weeks it snaps the strap.

So happy with herself for doing the laces we head off looking for black school shoes with laces. None to be found at her size 10. Ask in shoes shops and they say no where does them at that size.

I have turned to mumsnet for help I have googled till my brain hurts, any advice?

Looking at the site shies too small at a 10.

My DDs school insisted on black polishable lace ups! DD2 is/was tiny ans when she started there was a size 10.

We could not get lace ups anywhere and I mean we searched and searched. We alsways ended up with a velcro version of a lace up. Startrite seemed to always od a lace up and velcro shoe pretty damn similar.

Looking at the Charles Clinkard website (stocks many makes of shoes) your choice seems to be Kickers, Converse or Vans. CLINKS

Clarks seem to do a boot though. clarks boot and Clarks again

Startrite do a shoe Startrite Fran Shoe and a boot Startrite Elvin Boot

start rite yes they do a brogue style shoe with laces in a size ten. i'd get them for my daughter except she can't do laces yet. clarks are rubbish. yes kickers also have a few choices.
