Need some footwear somewhere in between pumps/flipflops and ankle boots!

Canvas pumps getting wet in rain, so am still keeping my flip flops on and splashing in puddles! I need something else to wear with jeans but I don't want to put ankle boots on yet, any suggestions please?

I wear FitFlop leather sneakers most of the time, for exactly this reason.

Leather Converse lowtop things?

Ballet shoes?

Brogues?

Loafers?

Lots of those weird slipper looking things around at the mo too but they are v ugly.

Apologies for the hijack but has anyone seen these in person? Are they actually shoes or slippers? Because I love them but am worried about buying them and wearing them out in case people think I forgot to put shoes on...

I am wearing studded slippers, will buy brogues if I can ever find a pair that are not made of hard-as-nails leather.
