Where do you buy your castor oil?

I'm keen to try the oil clensing method I've read about here, but I can't seem to get a hold of castor oil. I've tried my local pharmacy but they don't stock it, neither does my 'sells everything' Tesco. I found some in a health store but it was £14 for a smallish bottle Shock

Is it really that expensive?

I get mine from the Caribbean. Pure castor oil. Going in October, would you like me to bring you some? Happy to send you a small bottle for free. I get it really cheap.

MoRaw

Can I be very cheeky and ask you to get me some. Will pay and be forever grateful!

MoRaw · 25/08/2012 21:17

No worries. Happy to do so. I will bring back a few. It is the pure natural one - not diluted or anything added. We used to have a castor tree next to our house.

What do you use it for? I used it to keep my hair soft. I know it is also used for constipation and for detoxing.

MoRaw · 25/08/2012 21:19

By the way, you will need to send me the address you would like me to send it to. Otherwise, I work in Central London and can also meet you somewhere in the area to hand it over.

Ebay is your friend for castor oil, cheap as chips.

Pelicano · 25/08/2012 21:57

I got mine from Tesco, weird hey. Try every local independent pharmacy around before buying online.

biffnbuster · 25/08/2012 22:29

Got mine from a local chemist.

auldspinster · 26/08/2012 08:21

I've also seen it onsale in an Asian supermarket for not much.

Misssss · 26/08/2012 12:52

Not sure if I'm being thick MoRaw but it won't let me PM you. I use it for my hair, nothing can tame my fro like it. Its buttery soft. I keep begging my family in JA to send me some but they never do. Thank you so much!

MoRaw · 26/08/2012 13:05

Got your PM and responded.

TheDreadedFoosa · 26/08/2012 13:08

My local Asda and Superdrug sell it.
Not Tesco though, or any of the chemists.

Littlepumpkinpie · 26/08/2012 19:39

I get mine from a Asian run chemist

LurkeyLurkerson · 27/08/2012 20:44

Thank you everyone for the tips! And thank you MoRaw, you're very kind but I'm impatient Grin

I've ordered from Amazon so hopefully I'll be able to get started soon! Can I be a little cheeky and add a further question? What carrier oil would you recommend for combination skin? And at what ratios? All the websites I've looked at have rather conflicting advice!
