I mean I want the potion to be oily, not for an oily body Grin

Ages ago I was given a wonderful tub of what seemed like oil with salt and sugar in. I used it in the shower and when I washed it off my skin seemed waterproofed (from the oil) IYSWIM and felt gorgeous.

There were no ingredients on the tub and my friend couldn't remember where she'd bought it. I've tried to replicate this with olive oil and salt and sugar but just end up with oily, scratchy slop. Anyone know how to make a wonderful oily potion for use in the shower?

It could have had beeswax in it.

Don't know about home made but soap and glory (at boots) make a body scrub like that, it's wonderful

I make one from coconut oil and caster sugar, plus a splash of vanilla extract. Coconut oil is solid at room temperature so it makes a paste with the sugar, but sort of melts on onto your body when you're in the shower. I wouldn't use olive oil in a scrub, I don't like it. Almond oil is nice.
