Anyone used Boots Botanics Soothing eye make up remover?

I have been using different eye make up removers for years but I've never had the problems I have had with this one.
Within 10 mins of using it my eyes were stinging and sore. I checked the instructions-was doing all it said. Looked at the Warnings- 1st thing it says is 'avoid contact with eyes' Are Boots mad!?! Its made for contact with eyes!!! Tried again the next night; using the smallest amount I could ; not easy as the bottle has a wide opening and kept my eyes tightly closed. Same thing happened.
In the warnings says twice to avoid direct contact with eyes, but its an oily liquid so it will slide into the eye unless washed off!
It also says it can cause sensitivity to sunlight. to use sun block....on my eye lids? Is that reasonable? It has AHA, which I would think far too strong to use on the eye area.
The front of pack, with its reference to Kew and herbs used in it made me think it was a fairly natural product which I would expect from this range.
I dont have sensitive skin, never had issues in the past with similar products.
Very disappointed and rather annoyed.

Is it the half-liquid/ half-oil one? Blue and clear? I tried it years ago and found the same thing, can't believe it's still doing the rounds! My absolute best, by far, is Superdrug's Simply Pure one - fragrance and paraben free and hypoallergenic but gets everything off really easily.
