Phase eight- first time I've ordered and they just refunded me :-s

So, the dress I ordered which was showing in stock was in fact out of stock. They had my money a couple of days before they told me this. I'm not impressed.

Do they often do this?

I've never had that problem. Can you get the dress from John Lewis, Debenhams or House of Fraser instead?

I don't know, I've only ordered Phase Eight stuff via Hous of Fraser before, but earlier I tried on the Phase Eight website itself and it was playing hell up.

Things saying they were available that then when trying to order turned out not to be, and then on refreshing the site would be vanished.

It seemed like they were doing a massive stock update in real time item by item so maybe related in some way?

I ended up ordering from HoF again.

That's interesting, lubey- the dress has disappeared from the site now (was in the sale). Can't see it anywhere else.

It really pisses me off, TBH. It's one thing to get to the checkout and it shows as out of stock, but to take your money and not notify you for a few days is really annoying. If bigger companies can have up-to-date information on stock levels at the point of sale, why can't they?
