Massimo Dutti - returns nightmare!

Just wanted to share my pain. Ordered a couple of blouses in the Massimo Dutti sale, both in two sizes. I am keeping the larger ones and want to return the other sizes to get a refund. Turns out the only way to do this is by courier. You can choose your day, but they won't give you a time, so you have to be prepared to wait in between 8.30 - 6.30.

I got to 2pm and cracked. Called their 'helpline' who suggested I leave parcel outside with a note. Took DS out for an hour and a half, came back to find card from Parcel Force telling me they couldn't collect my package because 'no-one was available'. Aaaargh!

Now I have to start all over again. Apparently you can't simply post the things back - bonkers!

Sorry for the essay, I feel better now. Very nice blouses. Not worth the agony.

What a complete and utter pain in the arse! I didn't know that but will not risk buying from the if that is the case.

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/08/2012 19:16

I've done it before but just left the parcel outside with a note.

Sheila · 20/08/2012 19:18

That's what I did - he didn't read the note.

Hmmm, parcelforce bit rubbish at the moment. Were meant to deliver something on Saturday - it didn't turn up but got an email saying I wasn't here. Then today they left it at village post office rather than bringing to my house - what's that all about?

Sheila · 20/08/2012 20:00

Yes it could've just been an idle postie, but I'm reluctant to let MD off the hook. Surely it shouldn't be beyond their wit to accept postal returns?

I'll now drown my wrath in a large g+t and compose a stiff letter of complaint. That'll teach them.

Its the same as Zara and they are at least free.

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/08/2012 20:05

And Mr Zara is what the 3rd richest person in fashion or something.

Am sure these companies make returns difficult so you just don't bother.

See Trustpilot site for manifold complaints about Massimo Dutti! I’ve been buying from them since they opened in the UK, and never had a problem until my latest order. They didn’t tell me when or where it was delivered to. Now I want to return part of the order I can’t get a label as they promise when you order, so apparently, I can’t even return it. Avoid!
