Buying clothes while losing weight, what to do?

I am in the process of losing weight and going to the gym, clothes have always been a nightmare for me, having horses and teaching fitness when i was younger meant i lived in johds and joggers, fast forward 17 years and 3 DC and i still live in johds and joggersSad.
I am also a hourglass shape {18} so jeans that fit over my hips have a huge gap at the waist etc.
I need ideas on what to do while losing weight, do i stick to the joggers & keep enduring the looks from the schoolmums or do i buy things that with any luck will not fit me a few months down the line and waste money i dont really want to waste?
I truely HATE the way i look and my lack of nice well fitting clothing and its affecting my whole life.

Feel your pain! Have been going through the same process and have gone from a 16 to a 12 now. I have had to buy smart work clothes so rely on eBay, and cheaper shops ( even supermarket stuff) to see me through. My goal is to be a size 10 that's when I'll splure - in the meantime only accessories get lots spent on them. Try stretchy clothes and things with out too defined a waistband - so they can last over several sizes. Also remember weight loss slows down after the first month, so you can be a size for a while ( I was a size 14 in trousers for nearly 6 months). Do treat yourself to some new clothes while you slim, your worth it!
