Very fine hair. Growing it out of short graduated bob and it's all one length now and touching collar bone. It looks flat at the back now and is at the stage where it won't curl under and the best look is when i flick up the ends with my straightener at the back and bits at the sides. Would having layers put in all round the bottom of the sides and back, make it easier to flick bits out or look weird? I don't know what to ask my hairdresser to do? It just looks like hair at the mo rather than a style and I want it to look prettier.

forgot to say btw that I'm 51 and so want stylish and age appropriate rather than anything adventurous.

All one length is a hard look to pull off I think as it can lack shape and movement. What didn't you like about short graduated bob?

Thanks for replying waving. With the short graduated bob I felt it was a bit to harsh looking and I wanted it a bit longer so that on a bad hair day I could put it up. The hairdresser has put some layers/texture in and kept the length. It looks OK but I'll get more of an idea when I get to dry/style it myself.
