After seeing lots of people on here giving them the thumbs up I thought I'd give them a go. It was a no go! While I could get them on and over my thighs unlike most skinnies, they were so tight they just wrinkled up. Stuffed sausages ahoy! Not a good look. I've decided skinnies will never be for me. I did get two pairs of straight legs in teal and Burgundy which although not as young looking at least fit :-) Question is, what colour tops to wear with them? I'm not into black and not afraid of colours. Any ideas ladies please?

I bought the skinnies in teal and brick red, so nearly the same as you.

I am currently planning to wear the teal with a cream print silky blouse and knee high tan boots/charcoal grey suede wedge shoe boots. The red with a burnt orange slouchy short sleeve sweater from the Monsoon sale, probably the same shoe boots or short dark brown ankle boots.

I dont do black either, think it cheapens bright colours.

Also would love to hear any other ideas Smile

I got a pair of M&S jeggings and was very unimpressed. I found they're just not really jeggingy - they have far too much give in them so they get quite loose.

Ooh mumelie, I'm liking the sound of your footwear! Jock, I had jeggings a few years ago that were more leggingy than jeansy. I get confused by all the jegging, tregging stuff.

I like them because they get a bit loose - they are like 'proper' jeans, rather than leggings. I tried some coated ones on the other day - nice but a bit itchy. Will go back when the weather is colder and see if it was just because I was too warm.

Am no good at all at colours (am queen of black) but I did notice in a magazine that 'tonal' combinations are in: so burgundy jeans, with a different colour of burgundy top and a third colour as a cardigan etc. No idea if that is any use though, or if it would work or not.

I have two pairs and like them because they're not tight.

darthsillius · 16/08/2012 20:15

I found them comfy but a bit camel-toe esque

PorkyandBess · 16/08/2012 20:17

I love, love them.

I have 3 pairs. Everyone keeps telling me I have lost weight when I wear them.

(I haven't)

DuffyMoon · 16/08/2012 20:23

which ones? quite a few on website...after some for dd2

YouHaveBeenOutbid · 16/08/2012 20:34

I must be a fattie then Blush ... the jeggings that people seem to love are called something like 5 pocketed jegging or something similar. Can't do links, sorry! They come in oodles of colours.

I like them too. Got a couple of pairs in black, but they do fade quite quickly.

I think these are they

Some of these look a bit dubious though

AnnabellaFagina · 17/08/2012 09:08

I have the sainsburys jeggings I'm very pleased with.

Olympicnmix · 17/08/2012 09:15

YHBO, I don't like the zip up/button M&S jeggings that come in proper sizes, imo they are uncomfortable and make me look all middle-age spread! The pull-on ones in S/M & M/L however are completely different, actually flattering & are very comfortable. Have only had them a sort time though so don't know how they wear.

Olympicnmix · 17/08/2012 09:16

Only got the blue though, as AF said the black looks like it'll fade to grey quickly.

Mumelie · 17/08/2012 09:32

It was these ones I bought
jeggings
They are more like super skinny jeans tbh. I'm going to have to lose a few more lbs to stop that middle age spread Olympicmix! Or wear a very baggy top Grin
