Went on a little shopping expidition today firstly seen lots of really nice knitwear jumpers but ive never worn anything like that before (serious fashion novice) obivously with them being see through what do you wear underneath? and should top underneath be shorter than the jumper or longer?

secondly got cornered into getting a dorothy perkings gift card today thought it was a loyalty card at first then realised my purchases went on the card im now worrying, if i pay it off right away do i pay interest? never had a store card before Confused

yeah if you pay it within the first month (i think its 56 days actually) you wont pay any interest. Just pop into the store and pay it as soon as you get it.

See-thru jumpers - lovely - just wear a vest top or strappy cami underneath. Primark do nice cheap ones in a range of colours. It doesn't really matter which is longer; it depends on the look you are going for.

Storecards - just pay off in full each month and there's no interest. And if you are not happy and feel you were pressured, don't use the card again, just phone and cancel it once the balance is cleared.

I would be extremely pissed off if something I agreed to on the basis that it was a loyalty card turned out to be some kind of store card.

Ages ago I bought one thing from Laredoute, and I entered a code I'd been sent, which I thought just gave me a discount. In reality, it gave me a discount but opened up a credit facility too. I was livid. I'm very much against store cards and have a horror of building up debt. I paid the whole sum and cancelled the credit facility, but it was a long and time consuming process which I also felt was deliberately designed as such.

I'd be really wary of shopping in any store with that kind of practice. In fact I think I'd make a point of not doing so.

That happened to me in DP's too. I paid it off the first month and cut it up, no interest charged.
