what is a muffiny woman?

freshstart · 10/03/2006 19:04

isnt the muffin erradicated with jeans that fit properly and arent too tight?

TearsBeforeBedtime · 10/03/2006 19:05

well my interpretation of muffiny is having a muffin top - ie. crap bulging tummy

cupcakes · 10/03/2006 19:05

Get higher waisted jeans. Which fit.

fastasleep · 10/03/2006 19:06

WRAP TOPS ROCK

for everyone

hmmm thinks on it while expressing

I can't find many to flatter myself lol

SleepySuzy · 10/03/2006 19:06

Yep, it's the trousers/jeans which make all the difference, then most tops look more flattering. I learned this the hard way.

cupcakes · 10/03/2006 19:06

wrap tops make me look pregnant

cod · 10/03/2006 19:06

\link{http://overthehegemon.com/wp-content/photos/17SeptMuffinTop.jpg\i give you top of muffin}

fastasleep · 10/03/2006 19:07

desperateSCOUSEwife · 10/03/2006 19:07

tbb have you tried the floaty tops that go to waist
they are tight on the top but go to like an a line is the best way I can descibe it
they do hide alot
doormat

There are some loose structured long t shirts with a gathered/elasticated bottom which are great.

TearsBeforeBedtime · 10/03/2006 19:08

snort at cod's photo.

so it's good jeans that are key then rather than the actual tops. Have you got any good jean recommendations then Cod?

which jeans do you wear now

fastasleep · 10/03/2006 19:10

'Flat-fronted trousers and skirts are really flattering for a larger tummy. Try to avoid pleats and front zips - side and back zips are a much more flattering option.
Low-waisted trousers make the stomach look smaller.
Don't wear anything that's gathered at the waist.
Wear soft, forgiving fabrics that don't cling to the tummy.
Wrap-around tops create folds across the tummy that detract from any other rippling in that area.
Avoid belted jackets and coats - the belt will ride up and give the impression that you're pregnant. '

Skinny amd Tranny

I think you'd look great in a top that's tight around the bust and then nice and floaty deffo Grin

and some jeans that fit will do wonders (I just got some, it was shocking!)

cupcakes · 10/03/2006 19:11

low waisted trousers may make the tummy look smaller but still pretty ugly if you get overspill at the top.

desperateSCOUSEwife · 10/03/2006 19:12

exactly what I thought cupcakes
have seen girls wearing hipsters with overhang and it looks dreadful

cupcakes · 10/03/2006 19:13

Agree about side zips though. I'm hankering after \link{http://www.boden.co.uk/col.asp?segname=Women&styid=WM177&segid=6&gpname=Trousers&desname=Side+Zip+Cropped+Stretch+T&gpid=23&gen=\these Boden ones} for the summer. And they're not low waisted.

fastasleep · 10/03/2006 19:13

That's what I thought, I get a bulge I don't like in low wasited trousers and I'm a bit too thin atm (silly skinny and tranny!!)

desperateSCOUSEwife · 10/03/2006 19:13

tbb boho type tops like sienna wears is a good example

fastasleep · 10/03/2006 19:14

I'd go for lovely dark jeans with a slight fade down the middle of the legs... they're so flattering for pretty much everybody....

and a longish 'babydoll' top (not pink!), I wish I had a bust that would fit into one...

cod · 10/03/2006 19:48

abree with fasty

TearsBeforeBedtime · 10/03/2006 19:51
