This is an old article, but I can't get over how mean people can be! I would have killed to look like her when my DS was 6 months!

It's so sad that we are supposed to bounce back post baby.... Don't think I'll ever bounce back, but that's a new thread!

She is such a beautiful woman.

Baby weight or not I would live to look like her Envy

Love not live.

I remember reading this last year and thinking phew! This is how lots of women look 5 days post birth.

Comments made me grr but then it is the fail

If I hadn't read the article I wouldn't have realised Aishwarya was carrying baby weight - I think she looks amazing

Lizzylou · 13/08/2012 19:30

Aishwarya is just breathtakingly beautiful. I don't think I'd notice her body, I'd be in awe of her aazing face.
That photo of Pink is so refreshing as well, she is very athletic (and now is back to pre-pg) but just so good that she'd be out and about with a normal bump so soon after birth.
Instead of holing up with a personal trainer eating lettuce only or nursing lipo scars.
DM comments are always just horrid.

Lizzylou · 13/08/2012 19:31

aazing ?
Amazing!

PetiteMum · 13/08/2012 20:32

Oh wow, I am just in awe that pink could walk after 5 days! I was still curled up in bed for the most part!

I remember the media-created furore over Aishwarya's supposedly unacceptable weight, and all I could think was how very refreshingly brave these women are to not let the media beat them down and prescribe how fast they should lose weight. New mothers like Aishwarya, Pink and Beyonce are coming out to important events, looking fantastic and dressing unabashedly to flaunt their post-baby (and maybe even breast-feeding) body, and not in tent-like shrouds. It is a really good example to normal women like us that there is no medal to be obtained in getting back in to size 6 jeans within 8 weeks (or some such nonsense time scale).

All these women will eventually get their pre-pregnancy bodies back (they are in the beauty business, so there is no sense pretending that they will not), but it is really really healthy that they aren't rushing to do so. Their baby and letting their body recover from the pregnancy and childbirth are their priorities and rightly so.

Hear hear! Well said nan!

I really like Pink, I remember she said that in the months after the birth her body looked and felt a total mess (or words to that effect) and I thought it was great that a celebrity was willing to be so honest.
